William Gallick was born in 1830, in Germany.


Along the way . . .

In 1850, William Gallick came to New York at the age of 20.

In 1852, he moved in New Haven, Connecticut.

William Gallick and his family moved West, stopping in California and Oregon before settling in Butte, Montana in 1881.

In Butte, Gallick built up a successful wholesale liquor distributorship.

In 1908, the Gallick family returned to the East coast.



William Gallick was a member of Congregation B’nai Israel.



Gallick was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Mystic Shrine Noble.

He was also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the Ancient Order of United Workmen, and B’nai B’rith.



In 1852, William Gallick married Blumchen Mandel (1834-1916).

They had three children.


William Gallick died in 1914 and is buried in the B’nai Israel Cemetery.

Blumchen Gallick died in 1916.
